Inspired by the goldenrods in the field in front of the mountains in the distance behind the Mast General Store in Valle Crusis, NC during the Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival 2024. I loved that golden glow contrast against the purpley mountains! I started with a brunaille underpainting using Liquin to dry it fast and was able to get a color pass on the first day. I subsequently went back the next day and finished for the competition!
