This was painted fully en plein air, at one of my favorite places on Earth- Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna VA.
It stands out to me as a moment of strong inspiration and a “painting moment” in which I surprised myself
with what I had accomplished!
It was also my birthday, and I have a photo of myself painting it!
