West Dennis beach Cape Cod

Looking east in the morning at West Dennis beach, next to the Lighthouse Inn. I placed my easel in the shadow of a cottage and leaned out to see the view. It was very hot with intense sun sparkling on the water which I found so inspiring. Also, the small jetty of rocks was a very dark shape against the light. This is a simple painting but I am happy with how it captures the light of the moment. I finished it on location in an hour and a half.
