We took a drive into the mountains and I had my Plein Air supplies in the truck. When I saw this view, I immediately knew I wanted to paint it and asked my husband who was driving to pull over. Luckily he's used to this and always has something to read. The sky was overcast and lit this area beautifully. I really love the long view of changing earth directions up to the mountains.
