Hidden Gem

Hidden Gem is based a recent trip to Maine and Maine's coastal area. The painting was inspired by the raw beauty of the rugged Maine landscape, the rocky shore, the majestic evergreens, and inviting waters. I spent many summer vacations in Maine hiking and climbing along the rocky shoreline. It is a majestic place and no two areas are alike. I continue to spend time in Maine and am still in awe of its rugged beauty. As a artist, I now try to capture some of the places I visit in my art - both in plein air or from my studio.
