View of Pikes Peak from Trout Creek

This plein air landscape is done from the east-side of my property which sits in the Trout Creek subdivision, surrounded by Pike National Forest. The background in the painting is America's Mountain - Pikes Peak shown as we often see it, as a magnet drawing the clouds in, to and around the peak. The foreground leads the viewer in and across the open valley range and through breaks and passages in the pine trees, and deeper into the forest.
