A trip back to the local florist and this peony stood out to me. I'd spotted several in the neighborhood on my "slow" walks of contemplation. But the weather had turned so hot that I hadn't paused long enough for more than a quick sketch. But this one was a perfect model. She hardly moved at all in the comfortably air conditioned studio!
