Anchored in Montenegro

This is a studio painting from digital images and sketches of a lovely motor sailor anchored in the bay in Kotor, Montenegro! My wife and I were on a twenty-two day trip on the Mediterranean Sea from Turkey to Spain. I had promised her that I would not paint but I did take hundreds of digital images and several sketches of the beautiful places and things we saw as we moved through the sea. This was one of the most beautiful boats that I saw and immediately after returning home I made this studio painting trying to catch the wonderful colors of the area and this larger motor/sailing vessel anchored in the bay.
