Laughing Gull

I love to watch bird’s along Florida’s Gulf Coast. I find them amusing as they run up and down the beach, each breed with its own agenda. Thankfully many of them pose long enough for me to capture not only beautiful images of them, but often their individual personalities. This little guy was the perfect model as he hung out for a while, unintimidated, hoping for a handout. Although I paint in thinner layers of oil, it's rewarding to find ways to add different techniques and brush strokes within the same painting.
