"Gathering" (oil on linen) is an indirect painting created to be a double entendre. I was especially inspired by the gathers in the model's blouse and how they interacted with the light. As the model is gathering things, I intentionally composed the image to leave the viewer wondering what she was gathering. This painting has an ethereal feel due to interaction of the transparent layers.
